Like, whoa, dark.
YOUNG JUSTICE is back releasing new episodes, finally. But dang, it's like whoa, dark. And it keeps getting darker. I honestly wonder about showing it on Saturday morning. Sure, I suppose I'm being a bit dramatic. But they are running a completely integrated storyline so there is no break from the unrelenting bummer of the whole thing. I did catch a glimpse of the potential Apache Chief today (which gets me totally giddy), but even that was hardly enough to keep me from the glums. Today they *blew *up Mount Justice. It's like episode 8 or something in the season, and 4 of the main characters are captured by the bad guys, 2 are double agents, 3 are out of the hero gig...I mean...major sad-on.
NARUTO SD is super awesome. Probably because Rock Lee is the main character and he pantsed a guy in order to defeat him in episode 1. That won my undying loyalty right there. They've written it so that Neiji clearly has a crush on Hinata - no ambiguity whatsoever. Tenten is as terrific as she should have been in the regular series. Also started reading the manga. Like I *need another distraction. Bah.
Also, I need to block myself from fanfiction.net. Seriously - I need a child filter-type thing. Bad girl! *wrist slap* Go do your work!
Last weekend I kind of binged on back episodes of LOST GIRL. It's honestly not great. It's a show you watch in marathon mode *not because you can't wait for the next episode but because you can multitask when it's on and yet it provides adequate distracting between the multis. But dang - the werewolf leading man is "gawd I'm tingly just looking at him with his shirt still *on" hawt. And he's always like "gee succubus, don't hold back - suck all the sexual energy you need from me to heal yourself, anytime, anywhere." Um. Am I drooling? Or, *blush*, something else...?
Also saw that the cable network "Logo" is going to do a television special based on the "It Gets Better" campaign. I had colleagues that wrote an article about that for a journal. I wonder if they know about it? I wonder if I'm motivated enough to bother telling them? (The team is lead by a guy I'm not crazy about.)
